dear Biotech Company Who Shall Remain Nameless:
your failure to provide me with functional consumable equipment has now ruined my LAST EXPERIMENT IN GRAD SCHOOL twice. this should have been finished two months ago. i do not have time for this to happen a third time, do you understand me? i have a defense coming up here, and the data need to be finished, period. it takes me several WEEKS to recover from each instance of your crappy consumable equipment malfunctions, and once all is said and done there is no method of recovery to compensate for your low-quality crap, the data is gone. if only anyone else provided this equipment, i would wash my hands of you. my complaint letter yielded an actual response complete with apologies for the inconvenience and admission of fault, which is nice enough, but i swear that if i have to do this experiment more than this one additional time, we’re gonna have to discuss this outside, if you know what i mean.
seethingly,
leigh
